Just another weekend at lake Leman. With my sister this time. Wind was basically absent this time so lots of swimming (and sunburns). She also finished her “pimp my boat” operation with white (faux) leather all over the place, getting rid of the orange overdose.

At last. Seems like we jumped directly from a crappy “feels-like-Winter” Spring season to real Summer. But Friday it was really hot so I decided to spend the weekend on the lake with my nephew and niece. My sister and brother in law joined us Saturday for lunch and a quick stroll on the lake.

Here’s a few more pictures. Most of them crappy since they were taken with the iPhone.

It was really sunny, no clouds and the water temperature in the middle of the lake was 21°C which ended up inviting me (and my nephew) for a swim. Looking forward for next weekend. And for my face sunburn to look less obvious by Monday.

Since the crappy pictures on last post were kind of… crappy, I did a short video this weekend. There’s still a few changes to do, but almost there.

I just added a small gallery with a few more pictures I took this weekend, after changing a few things inside the boat. This required an insane trip to Ikea on a Saturday (and return with 4 huge blue bags full of stuff). pictures are kind of crappy, taken with the mobile phone.

After a long time stuck on paperwork, Don Quichotte is finally mine. My new boat! Well, not really new… actually it is as old as myself.

I had a chance to take a few pictures this afternoon, in Evian, where the boat is docked. I’ll certainly get busy next weekend with cleaning and a few small changes in the interior. I hope Sunday the weather is not too bad so I can actually try it out… outside of the dock.

Another sailing lesson in lake Leman. Reaching almost 10h now, so, half-way done with the course. This time, Tiffany (my niece) joined us too. (more)

I finally started sailing lessons and looking forward for obtaining the license. My nephew Jessy is doing the course with me and we will have our practical exams later in October. This was his 15th birthday’s gift and he’s quite excited and doing very well. I am really enjoying it too and this is great as an unwind activity and I was expecting it to be way more complicated. This video is from our second day. Wind was not helping, so, no high-speed exciting shots. Maybe next week. Weather is turning really nasty on the lake and we ended the last 15 minutes with a storm coming from nowhere. Lots of rain have an interesting effect in my hair (photo below, taken by my nephew in our way back to geneva).

Since there was not really a lot of time to spend posting and uploading pictures, here’s a selection of the best ones and videos will be posted soon. This selection includes Italy, Monaco, Cannes , St Tropez and Avignon.
