[PT] Talvez não, mas também canta lindamente mal e até tem vários videoclips e tudo, neste caso, arrojadas produções incluindo pole-dancing, strip-tease, o cliché dos pezinhos de molho num charco e algo que é talvez a coisa mais parecida ao Castel-Branco a dançar sapateado (em cima de uma ponte). Ah, isto tudo era num só videoclip (que podem apreciar abaixo). No outro videoclip, mais na onda techno, podemos apreciar uma verdadeira experiência labregopsicadélica. Está longe de ter a energia (intermitente) da nossa Ninfa Artémis e não fala em pintar os pelos púbicos, o que lhe tira bastantes pontos. Well, not really sure if I am going to post an odd site every week but this one did catch my attention. A site that sells… Wigs for cats? I must say I am kind of tempted to order the blond one (or maybe the blue) for my cat but he would probably kill me violently during th night if I did that. It kind of reminds me a silly site I found a few years ago, with some japanese guy that sells hats and accessories for cats. Apart from the silly photos of cats (not looking really happy) with those accessories, the “engrish” on that page is hilarious. Worth a look also. Click any of the pics below:

No, this won’t be my new look (apart from the next 24 hours or so, depending on the hangover). Gretchen’s birthday party (later today in a chalet in Champery) is themed 70’s disco fever. So here I am after getting rid of my goatee. This is kind of a teaser for a lot of odd pictures (and videos probably) afterwards. Together with the 70’s porn star mustache, I will be using an afro wig, some tacky golden sunglasses and THIS costume. I will feel very Portuguese tonight, for sure, since apart from the mustache I’ll be using white socks with black shoes. Sorry Xavier, I didn’t had time to grow the “unhaca”. Happy birthday Gretchen!

Doesn’t matter how much you move side to side (or even up and down), actually the more you move, the more outstanding the effect is. His head and eyes will always follow you.
You have to close one eye and only start moving afterwards, otherwise it does not work. I am getting worried with the weird things that amuse us at work. This afternoon we had this sight around every 15 minutes, across the street, three times.

[PT] A minha amiga Vanda (do Juvenal) teve a terrível ideia de me enviar 2 fitas para a Suiça, para eu e a Roxa personalizarmos e reenviarmos de volta antes da queima das fitas. Obviamente tínhamos de fazer algo ligeiramente diferente. Decidi dar a ideia de decorarmos as fitas com um design a puxar para o “emigrante” (zabeleiro) e acabámos por abusar:
Aqui está uma foto das fitas já enroladas e prontas para seguir pelo correio (o conteúdo que não se vê, descrito mais abaixo tem um teor mais “private joke” ou “nem-sequer-joke” por isso não era de grande necessidade ser mostrado).

Antes de mais acho que ela teve muita sorte, pois os clássicos autocolantes com tigres prateados e dourados, ou a típica gaja nua (bastante comuns nos carros de qualquer emigrante clássico) não se encontravam à venda em lado nenhum. Ou nós não sabemos mesmo onde encontrar tais obras de arte (e curiosamente orgulho-me disso). A alternativa seria pedir a alguém para nos enviar alguns exemplares clássicos adquiridos no “João da Sete” mas não parecia muito viável com as voltas do correio. Mesmo assim parece-me que as foleiras águias e o brasão de Genève (cintilante, claro) servem para o efeito.

Decidimos não enfeitar as fitas com as clássicas florzinhas, passarinhos, cãezinhos, mickeys, minies e outras mariquices do género. Pelo contrário, decidimos popular as fitas algumas frases e caricaturas nostálgicas, quase todas elas de momentos de preferência bastante embaraçantes ou outros podres da adolescência, dos quais muitos já ela nem se lembrava ou já tinha enterrado. (Quem são os amigos, quem são?). Ok, uma das fitas levou como extra algumas pilas para preencher espaços não aproveitados. A outra levou algumas frases em árabe também (cortesia do Abdellah da Roxa da Justa).

Como toque final, dois lindos chocalhos suiços. Não gigantescos mas grandes o suficiente para fazer bastante cagaçal. Incluindo obviamente na igreja. Junto com as fitas seguiu uma nota em como ela está expressamente proibida de colocar algodões ou qualquer porcaria para evitar que os chocalhos façam barulho. Inclui também a obrigatoriedade de fazer um video, provavelmente bêbada com as fitas a fazer o devido cagaçal (para ser posteriormente cravado num post por aqui). Caso contrário posso sempre fazer um post com algumas fotos embaraçantes que tenho dela ou dizer a toda a gente que ela tem um cão de porcelana na sala.

Ok, chega de bacoradas e acho que devo acabar o post com um Parabéns Vanda!

[EN] Ok, once more this doesn’t exactly fit the topic and again, it will be in portuguese. This is a tribute to Ikea stuff that means really weird stuff in portuguese.

[PT] Obviamente mais uma vez, não se tratam de bacoradas escritas por emigrantes portugueses, mas encaixa minimamente.

Uma inocente visita à IKEA de Aubonne (Switzerland) transforma-se em algo bastante interessante quando se tenta achar nomes portugueses nos nomes dos produtos. Há muito mais exemplos e obviamente não devo ter sido o único a reparar em tal até agora, mas pelo menos estes três (ou quatro) acho que merecem um post.

Despite whatever you might think, I am happy in this picture. I really am, very happy. I might not look cheerful but no, this is not an emotive mood or something like that (and NO, it is not related to Ninfa Artemis).

It just happens that for the first time (as for many first-timers in Switzerland this season) and thanks to some abnormal pollen activity (in the alps or whatever as the news say), I acquired HAY FEVER. As a result I spent last week, from Tuesday, crying like crazy at work (photo is after crying for 5 days). From Friday also started to have an extremely runny nose, while staying for the weekend at some friends’ house (nice) and wasting their Kleenex and toilet paper stock overnight (Thanks Roxa & Abdellah). I am way better today, but seems like this is going to be “normal” every year from now, around the same season. How great is that?

(Humm. Seems I also need to trim my beard this weekend)
